Ports for Plunder – The Booty Haul – A Massive Lois McMaster Bujold Treasure Trove!

Ahoy there mateys!  Many of ye know that I be a huge fan of Lois McMaster Bujold and her fantasy works.  The curse of the chalion be one of the best fantasy books I have ever read.  I have been enjoying the world of the five gods for quite some time.  Me crew keeps recommending her sci-fi Vorkosigan Saga.  Well the First Mate went on a secret adventure and came back with some shiny loot to celebrate the New Year:

Look at all that glorious treasure!  Ye can never have too much treasure.  I am so excited that I hereby declare 2021 me Vorkosigan year of ARRRRR!!!

I know there be some debates about what order to read them in including the publishing, chronological, and author’s recommended.  Then there be the hybrid version like this one by Matey Laura.  Do any of the crew have opinions on what order to read these in?  Have any of me hearties read books off this list?  If so share yer comments or link to yer reviews.

Happy reading and sailing!  Happy New Yaarrrr!

  1. YAY for the declaration of the Vorkosigan Year!!!! (big Miles fan here…) 😉
I would recommend either the internal chronological order or the one recommended by the author (which are quite similar) because this way you can enjoy the progress of the story as it develops through the years. And above all… have FUN! Happy reading 🙂

  2. The Vorkosigan saga!! I binged the whole thing in about a month and a half a couple of years back. I’d recommend the series chronological order. You see Miles grow up and mature that way. Publication order would seem a bit disjointed to me.
