required by law or a rule; obligatory.
This crew is derelict in duty!! The last tally of those who had read book one was only 38. Since that time only SIX (6) more of ye have read it. This be insubordination and it is unwarranted, unwanted, and undeserved. I believe I was extremely clear when I said that all ye scalawags should read about Murderbot.
Once again ye layabouts, there are at least three good reasons to read this series:
- I said so (my rule AND law);
- One of me favourite authors, Ann Leckie, talked about it in one of her blog posts. She states, “This is volume 1 of the Murderbot Diaries, and I suspect a certain percentage of my readers don’t need to hear anything more. Go, purchase, download! You will enjoy this.”
- It won the Hugo Award for Best Novella (2018), the Nebula Award for Best Novella (2017), and the Locus Award for Best Novella (2018).
Reading this series is COMPULSORY for me crew. For those that have attended to their duties and read all of the Murderbot novellas thus far, I bring ye a link to the FREE prequel. Matey Nicole @ book-wyrm-knits went above and beyond and found this lovely bit o’ treasure for me. Now the story is a snippet and as such only whets the appetite even more for the full-length novel coming out in 2020. For those wretches who have not read the whole quartet, DO NOT read this first. But as for me, I will take more Murderbot in whatever form I can get it. I LOVE MURDERBOT!! ARRRRR!
